E-rate in Georgia
In partnership Georgia Department of Education, the University System of Georgia (USG), Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS) is pleased to provide E-rate services to the K-12 schools and libraries of Georgia. This centralized team of professionals provides training and assistance to Georgia schools and libraries utilizing E-rate funding. The primary objective of this team is to assist in securing maximum funding through the E-rate program.
The Georgia E-rate Team acts as a liaison for the Ga E-rate community and interfaces with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the Universal Services Administrative Company (USAC) on E-rate issues vital to the state of Georgia.
The Ga E-rate Team offers the following services to Georgia schools and libraries:
Access to experienced E-rate Specialists
Consortium lead for GaDOE K-12 network
E-mail and telephone support
Virtual review of E-rate program forms
E-rate updates via newsletters
PIA, selective review and audit support
E-rate training for Georgia schools and libraries
Outreach program for onsite assistance
Regional and national level representation
Liaison with FCC, USAC and service providers
