E-rate in Georgia

In partnership Georgia Department of Education, the University System of Georgia (USG), Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS) is pleased to provide E-rate services to the K-12 schools and libraries of Georgia. This centralized team of professionals provides training and assistance to Georgia schools and libraries utilizing E-rate funding. The primary objective of this team is to assist in securing maximum funding through the E-rate program.

The Georgia E-rate Team acts as a liaison for the Ga E-rate community and interfaces with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the Universal Services Administrative Company (USAC) on E-rate issues vital to the state of Georgia.

The Ga E-rate Team offers the following services to Georgia schools and libraries:

  • Access to experienced E-rate Specialists

  • Consortium lead for GaDOE K-12 network

  • E-mail and telephone support

  • Virtual review of E-rate program forms

  • E-rate updates via newsletters


  • PIA, selective review and audit support

  • E-rate training for Georgia schools and libraries

  • Outreach program for onsite assistance

  • Regional and national level representation

  • Liaison with FCC, USAC and service providers
